Job summary

Oakland Care Home in Rochdale is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, personal care and mobility. You will help ensure good nutrition, emotional wellbeing and adherence to care plans in a friendly, respectful setting. Training and development are provided for progression.

Open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training and ongoing support to grow in a valued role within a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living, including personal care and mobility.
• Support nutrition and emotional wellbeing of residents.
• Follow care plans and monitor changes in residents' condition.
• Work as part of a supportive team to deliver high-quality care.
• Contribute to a warm, respectful and dignified environment.

About Oakland Care Home
Our 40 bedded home provides residential and residential dementia care in a friendly setting just outside Rochdale. Oakland is a purpose built home with a close knit feel, offering a welcoming environment, landscaped gardens and a team focused on providing high quality, person centred care.

Care Assistant Contract

• Contracted to either 22hrs or 33 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.
You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
