Job summary

Bluebird Care is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes across Market Harborough & Oadby. You will deliver compassionate, person-centred care with a focus on dignity and independence.

Role includes helping with daily living activities, meals, medications, and light housekeeping; full induction and ongoing expert training are provided. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for

Requirements

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Right to work in the UK without requiring spοnsοrship or vіsa transfer
• Previous experience as a support worker, healthcare assistant, carer or care worker would be beneficial but not essential
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to follow care plans
• Previous healthcare assistant experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided
