Job summary

Interserve Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Complex Care Assistant to support clients at home, including those with brain stem stroke and ventilator needs. You'll receive full nurse-led training and clinical support to develop skills in complex areas such as tracheostomy, PEG feeding, and mobility support.

This role offers flexible patterns, paid induction, and ongoing opportunities for career progression within CCH.

Qualifications

• No complex care experience required; nurse-led training provided.
• Care experience in community or care home setting is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance and companionship in the client’s home.
• Support clients with medical needs under supervision, including ventilation and feeding as trained.
• Adapt to changing care needs and work with a clinical team.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and improve skills in various complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, stoma care, and so much more! We care for and support people of all ages, in the community, and their homes, with Spinal Cord injury, Muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries and many other complex needs. Every day will be different. And you’ll never know what challenges you’re about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though, is that you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter, whilst developing your skills and knowledge.

This client needs support with day to day living due to a brain stem stroke and uses a alphabet board to communicate, they have a ventilator to support breathing, PEG fed and needs intensive support to be kept well at home. They need support with all aspects of daily living including companionship.

Qualifications

What you’ll need

You will not require complex care experience for this role. Just plenty of care, compassion, and resilience as we provide full nurse-led training. Some Care experience in a community or care home setting would be beneficial.

Excellent communication skills are required for this role.
