Job summary

Ashgrove Care Home in West London is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide and support the team in delivering safe, high quality, person-centred care that makes a real difference to residents. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, overseeing medication and ensuring clear communication with families and professionals.

The role is 44 hours per week, with pay £14.35–£14.95 per hour, and a range of benefits including DBS, pension, uniform, and progression

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is required.
• Level 3 qualification desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.

Job description

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents' wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate. You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
