Job summary

Victoria Gardens Care Home in Coventry is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide the team, oversee medication, and monitor residents' wellbeing to maintain high-quality, person-centred care. You will manage shift operations, ensure accurate records, and communicate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

The role offers a night position with a contracted 44 hours per week, £13.85- £14.45 per hour, and benefits including DBS, pension, uniform, and life

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care required; Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience leading or supporting a care team and strong communication skills.

Job description

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents' wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate. You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

Victoria Gardens Care Home is a 25 bed care home located in the peaceful residential area of Tile Hill, on the outskirts of Coventry, West Midlands.
