Job summary

Elstree Court Care Home in Eastbourne, East Sussex, is seeking a Care Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents, including support for daily living and mobility, with night shifts.

You will follow care plans, monitor wellbeing, and work as part of a supportive team to create a warm, respectful environment where residents feel secure and valued. Training, guidance and development are provided to welcome both new carers and those with experience.

Qualifications

  • Caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care.

  • Provide safe, responsive and consistent care, including night shifts.

About Elstree Court Care Home

Elstree Court Care Home is a 40 bed care home located in Eastbourne, East Sussex, close to the seafront and local amenities. Providing residential, nursing and respite care, the home offers a comfortable and welcoming environment where colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

Care Assistant Contract
  • £14.80 to £15.30 per hour
  • Contracted to 33 hours per week
  • Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing. Night shifts.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
