Job summary

Carrstone House Care Home, part of Avery Healthcare Group, is seeking a Care Assistant to deliver personal care and support residents' independence and dignity. You will help with hygiene, monitor health risks, and work as part of a compassionate team in a welcoming home.

No prior experience is required as Avery provides a full induction and training programme; successful applicants must pass a DBS check and prove they can work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services.
• Assist residents with all aspects of personal hygiene care, promoting independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognise and understand clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls and signs of infection.
• Escalate identified risks in a timely manner.
• Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting each resident's dignity and individuality.
• Practise safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

Job description
