Care Assistant post at Silvermere Care Home in Cobham, one of more than 100 homes run by Avery Healthcare Group Ltd. The work centres on hands‑on personal care for residents, including hygiene support, spotting clinical risks such as falls, pressure sores and infection, and escalating concerns promptly. No prior experience is needed, as induction and training are provided. Fit depends on clear communication, initiative and flexibility to take on tasks at short notice.

What the job involves

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services
• Assist residents with personal hygiene care, protecting their independence, dignity and respect
• Recognise and understand clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls and signs of infection
• Escalate identified risks in a timely manner
• Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting each resident's dignity and individuality
• Practise safe systems of work across the range of tasks
