Job summary

Choices Homecare is recruiting Care Assistants across the Doncaster and Rotherham Regions. The role offers £13.65 per hour with flexible full-time and part-time hours and mileage allowance. Training and progression opportunities are provided within the Optimo Care Group, supporting a community-focused care service.

We look for caring individuals with strong communication and teamwork skills, a willingness to learn, and a driving licence for certain routes. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 hours per week.
• UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Full-time and part-time hours available.

Responsibilities

• Support people with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with medication administration and accurate documentation.
• Prepare meals and support with eating and drinking when needed.
• Encourage independence and support daily living tasks.
• Build positive relationships with service users and their families.
• Support emotional wellbeing and identify changes in behaviour or needs.
• Keep accurate records and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable home environment.
• Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries.

What to expect in this role

• Care is delivered 7 days a week between 07:00 and 23:00
• We ask for a minimum of 16 hours per week
• Every other weekend availability is required
• This role is paid for care delivery time, with mileage reimbursed between calls at 30p per mile
