Job summary

Bupa UK, St Georges Care Home in Cobham, is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with personal care and companionship at a Surrey care home. You will help with meals, activities, and daily living while following care plans and regulatory requirements.

The role requires caring, reliable team players with good communication skills. The position is full-time, with a 44-hour week and day shifts at St Georges Care Home.

Qualifications

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: previous experience in a care home or a Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with companionship and personal care as required.
• Observe and document changes in residents' behaviour in line with regulations.
• Assist with nutrition and hydration as per care plans.
• Provide stimulation through social and recreational activities, individually or in groups.
• Maintain accurate care plans to meet regulatory and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.
