Job summary

Quantum Care in Bushey is looking for a compassionate Care Assistant to provide person-centred care and support to residents with dignity and respect, helping them maintain independence. The home offers luxury facilities, including lounges, dining areas, salon, spa, cinema, cafe and landscaped gardens.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required if you have empathy and a positive attitude.
• You should be able to undertake all aspects of caring with compassion and respect.
• Must be able to work shifts including weekends and Bank Holidays.
• You must be aged 18 years or over.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, plus assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
• Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence.
• Building positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Follow individual personalised care plans.
• Work as part of a team to deliver high quality, person-centred care.
• An Overseas Police Check may be required if you have lived or worked outside the UK for 12 months or more, in addition to a mandatory Enhanced DBS check.

This luxury, 72 bed state-of-the-art care home offers exceptional residential, dementia and respite care in elegant surroundings, featuring beautifully designed lounges and dining areas, a hair and beauty salon, spa room, cinema, café, spacious en-suite bedrooms, and landscaped gardens, all within easy reach of Bushey's vibrant local community As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• An Overseas Police Check/ Certificate of Good Conduct may be required if you have lived or worked outside the UK for 12 Months or more, spent a significant period overseas, or worked abroad in a position of trust. This will be in addition to a mandatory Enhanced DBS check.
