Job summary

Care By Us, part of CCH, urgently seeks domiciliary care assistants in East Hertfordshire (Buntingford area) to help people stay independent at home. We offer guaranteed hours and a people-first team culture across multiple communities.

No prior care experience is required; full paid training is provided. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential to cover local visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care with dignity and respect (bathing, dressing, toileting).
• Assist with medication preparation and administration.
• Help with mobility and safe use of aids/equipment.
• Prepare meals and snacks; offer mealtime support.
• Carry out light domestic duties (laundry, beds, light cleaning).
• Offer companionship and reassurance; build relationships.
• Encourage social engagement and family connections.
• Monitor health; report changes to healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Respond to emergencies safely and effectively.
• Work collaboratively with families and the wider care team.

Pay Rate: £14.60 - £16.00 per hour plus 30p mileage.

What You’ll Be Doing

Every day as a domiciliary Care Assistant is different, but your impact is always the same - life-changing. You’ll support people to stay independent in their own homes and be a trusted part of a close-knit, local team.

You’ll help with:

Providing personal care with dignity and respect – bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming

Assisting with medication – preparation and administration
