Job summary

Ailsa Lodge Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is looking for a Care Assistant to provide person-centred care to 36 residents in Bishopton. You will support daily living, follow care plans, and contribute to a safe, dignified environment.

We welcome both experienced carers and those new to care, offering full training, guidance and ongoing development to support your journey in a warm, supportive team.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and positive attitude; willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living tasks, personal care, mobility, nutrition and wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in residents' conditions to provide safe care.
• Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm, respectful environment.
• Participate in training and ongoing development provided by the home.

Situated in Bishopton, Renfrewshire, our care home provides Residential, Dementia & Respite care for 36-residents

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to up to 48 hours per week
• Paid PVG, Paid Breaks, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
