Job summary

Westerton Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is looking for a caring Care Assistant to support residents with daily living and wellbeing. You will work under guidance to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive team.

The role emphasises dignity, independence and compassionate service; full training is provided, with opportunities to develop within the care setting.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, mobility assistance and help with nutrition following care plans.
• Support residents with daily living to promote dignity and wellbeing.

Job description

Our modern care home provides the highest quality of Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 106-residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to 22 - 44 hours per week
• Paid PVG, Paid SSSC, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
