Job summary

Templeton House Care Home in Ayr is seeking a Care Assistant to join our warm, resident-focused team. You will help residents with daily living, personal care and emotional support, ensuring dignity and comfort in a home-like setting.

You will follow care plans, monitor wellbeing and report changes promptly, with full training and ongoing development provided to help you grow in the role.

Templeton House Care Home in Ayr offers exceptional care for up to 69 residents in a picturesque and peaceful setting. Designed to feel like a true home, the environment combines warmth and comfort with modern amenities such as a cinema room and on-site hair salon.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to full time or part time hours per week - flexible hours available - family friendly working hours available
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
