Care By Us Limited is hiring compassionate Care Professionals to support clients in their own homes across the local community. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this geographically based role.

We offer highly competitive rates (£14.60–£16.00 per hour) plus 30p mileage and flexible shifts. Guaranteed hours, early wage access, and paid meetings/shadowing help provide security and financial peace of mind.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship to clients and prevent loneliness through conversations and activities.
  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing and grooming while preserving dignity.
  • Support with medication reminders and administration per care plan.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Assist with housekeeping, laundry and maintaining a safe home.
  • Support mobility, transfers and use of mobility aids.
  • Monitor health and report changes to healthcare professionals and families.
  • Encourage social inclusion and family connections.
  • Provide emotional support, listen, and reassure clients.
  • Maintain accurate care records and document changes.
  • Ensure safety and respond to emergencies appropriately.

Pay Rate: £14.60 - £16.00 per hour plus 30p mileage.

Work Locations As this is a community-based role, you will be traveling to support clients within their local communities. We proudly provide high-quality care across the local area, primarily covering:

Target Areas: Kings Langley, Abbots Langley, Apsley, Hemel Hempstead, Boxmoor, Nash Mills, Chipperfield, Bovingdon, Leverstock Green, Bedmond, Leavesden, Garston, Watford, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood, Sarratt, Hunton Bridge, Bricket Wood, Redbourn, Flamstead, Berkhamsted, Bourne End (Herts), Potten End, and Aldbury.

A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role due to the geographical nature of the rounds.

What You’ll Be Doing (And How You'll Help!) You’ll help vulnerable clients live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. Following personalised care plans designed to promote dignity and respect, your responsibilities will include:

  • Companionship – being a friendly face & preventing loneliness through engaging conversations, activities, and outings.
  • Personal Care – all aspects of personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while maintaining the client’s dignity and privacy.
  • Medication Management – collecting prescriptions, providing reminders, and assisting with the administration of medication as per care plan guidelines.
  • Nutrition and Mealtimes – preparing tasty and nutritious meals, considering dietary requirements and preferences, and assisting with feeding when necessary.
  • Housekeeping – keeping their home just the way they like it, including light cleaning, laundry, and tidying up living spaces.
  • Mobility Assistance – help with getting around safely, including transfers, walking support, and using mobility aids.
  • Health Monitoring – observing and reporting changes in the client’s physical or mental condition to healthcare professionals and family members.
  • Social Inclusion – encouraging and facilitating participation in community activities and maintaining connections with family and friends.
  • Emotional Support – providing a listening ear, empathy, and reassurance to clients experiencing anxiety, loneliness, or distress.
  • Documentation – maintaining accurate records of care provided, incidents, and any changes in the client’s condition.
  • Safety and Emergency Response – ensuring a safe living environment, recognising potential hazards, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
  • Collaboration – working effectively with other care team members, healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure comprehensive and consistent care.
Qualifications

What You’ll Need (Besides a Cape!)

Who We're Looking For You don don’t need previous care experience. Some of our best Care Professionals have previously worked in Retail, Hospitality, Customer Service, Childcare, Education, Hair & Beauty, Warehousing, Office Administration—or have cared for family members or loved ones.
