Job summary

Helping Hands in the United Kingdom is seeking a part-time Care and Training Practitioner (Field Care Supervisor). You’ll coach new carers from interview through onboarding, helping the branch maintain quality, compliance and meaningful relationships with customers.

This role blends people leadership with hands-on visits and on-call support, offering a varied mix of client visits, team coaching and documentation in a nationwide, award-winning care provider.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant and desire to advance to leadership.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and a supportive, encouraging approach to working with others.
• Keen eye for detail and confidence in maintaining compliance and quality standards.
• People-first mindset; calm, kind, and ready to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers to deliver extraordinary care.

As a Care and Training Practitioner with Helping Hands, you’ll play a vital role in shaping exceptional care, supporting new carers from their very first interview through to their full onboarding journey. You’ll coach, guide and uplift your team while helping the branch maintain quality, compliance and meaningful relationships with customers. It’s a role full of purpose, variety and real impact.

What you’ll do

• Train, mentor and support new carers so they feel confident, capable and ready to deliver extraordinary care.
• Assist the branch team with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain high standards across your care team.
• Visit customers to review care plans, ensuring they remain accurate, safe and person-centred.
• Carry out risk assessments with care, clarity and professionalism.
• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.
