Job summary

Valley Care by Care Sante is seeking 1 Care and Support Worker to join our home care team in Long Eaton, delivering life-changing support in clients' own homes.

Shifts are sleep-in nights from 10pm to 7am. Responsibilities include personal care, mobility support, domestic tasks, meals, medication administration, and end-of-life care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
• Help with mobility and use of aids and equipment.
• Domestic tasks including beds, tidying, light cleaning and laundry.
• Prepare meals and drinks; support with eating and drinking.
• Support with medication administration.
• Contribute to end-of-life care as needed.

You'll provide life-changing care and support that enables vulnerable adults of all ages to live fulfilling lives in their own homes.

Our usual working shifts are:

• Sleep-in night shifts 10pm to 7am

Job Description:

• Our home care assistants are responsible for assisting service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
• Helping service users overcome any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including helping in the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes
• Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks
• Support with administrating medication.
• Contribute as needed to a person’s end-of-life care

Requirements:

• Have a right to work within the UK
• No previous experience is necessary but you will need to demonstrate real compassion, be an excellent communicator and problem solver, and be committed to delivering high-quality, respectful care
