Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Care and Support Assistant at Sussex Avenue, Kent.

The role of Care and Support Assistant includes:

  • Providing support to encourage customers with learning and physical disabilities to maximise their potential and independence
  • Key working with individuals to develop and follow care and support plans
  • Following care plans and maintaining detailed care notes
  • Providing high-quality, personalised care including personal care and medication management
  • Assisting customers with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and mobility
  • Supporting customers to engage with the community, including shopping, social visits, and appointments
  • Promoting a positive, social environment to prevent isolation
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
  • Undertaking risk assessments and promoting safe practices

Skills and experience required:

  • Prior experience in personal care is desirable
  • A caring and compassionate nature
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
