Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Cardiology Cath Lab Nurse (NHS AfC Band 5) to join the team at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. The post is full time (37.5 hours) with on-call evenings and weekends, and a salary range of £32,073 to £39,043 per annum pro rata.

The role requires a registered nurse with cath lab experience, a flexible and team-oriented approach, and the ability to work across cardio labs while maintaining patient safety and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC 1st Level) with current registration.
• Significant cath lab post‑registration experience and on-call capability.
• Able to rotate across cardiology labs and support procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support registrar and consultant in the cardiology cath labs.
• Provide sedation and airway management during procedures.
• Monitor patients, ensure safe handover to ward.
• Cover on-call evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota.
