Qualifications

• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Enthusiastic and receptive to fluctuating workloads.
• Computer literate with accurate keyboard skills.
• Knowledge of NHS services and healthcare administrative systems.
• Experience with databases, spreadsheets and patient administration systems.
• Understanding of medical terminology and Cardiology pathways.
• Knowledge of confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, equality and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Waiting List Coordinators and administrative staff, including workload allocation and training.
• Oversee patient bookings and manage waiting lists across Cardiology diagnostic services.
• Support service improvement and deliver data quality across systems (Cardiobase, CareFlow).
• Coordinate with Associate Operations Manager, Consultants and multidisciplinary team to drive performance targets.
• Assist audits, performance monitoring, and implementation of improvement actions.
