Job summary

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust in Croydon is seeking an Assistant Patient Pathway Co-ordinator to support the Cardiology Diagnostics Booking Team. You will arrange appointments for patients and handle phone and email queries as part of the patient pathway of care.

The role involves coordinating with Cardiac Physiologists, Consultants and admin colleagues, booking clinical appointments, ensuring capacity is used effectively, solving problems, and maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction

Qualifications

• Educated to A level or equivalent standard.
• NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration/Customer Care or equivalent experience.
• GCSE / O’ level or equivalent, Grade C or higher in English and Maths.
• Evidence of on-going continuous personal development (CPD) and training.
• Experience in scheduling outpatient appointments and/or admissions.

Responsibilities

• The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients’ Cardiology diagnostic tests.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary Point of Delivery team to manage the patient pathway.
• Answer patient queries via telephone and email, and book clinical appointments.
• Ensure capacity is used appropriately and liaise with Clinicians.
