Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking Physiotherapist to join the Cardiac Rehab team based at Royal Sussex County Hospital. Your role will include:

1. The assessment and treatment of complex cardiac conditions.
2. Seeing patients on the wards, in outpatient clinics, and community exercise venues, including running exercise groups.
3. Having some Cardiac Rehab experience and being committed to supporting patients in managing their conditions.
4. Exhibiting excellent communication skills and an interest and proven ability in supervising and providing clinical support to others.
5. Working effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing advanced assessment and treatment for highly complex patients within the Cardiac Rehab service.
2. Supervising, teaching, and appraising Band 5 physiotherapists, physiotherapy associate practitioners, students, and other multidisciplinary team members.
3. Supporting the Team Lead with operational management.
4. Participating in CPD, IST, audit, evidence-based projects, and service development initiatives, including making recommendations for practice improvements.
5. Managing a significant clinical caseload and supporting clinical staff daily, working with the Team Leads to ensure quality service delivery.
