Job Description

Role: Advanced Physiotherapist
Site: The Wellington Hospital, London
Full time permanent: 37.5hrs per week with weekends and on-call requirement
Salary: Competitive + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)

We're looking for an Advanced Physiotherapist to join our Wellington Hospital, currently rated "Good" by the CQC. The Wellington Hospital is the largest private hospital in the UK and has over four decades of expertise; providing the highest level of care for patients who are looking for the best treatment in key areas of healthcare, including: neurosurgery, spinal surgery, cardiac care, orthopaedics, acute neurological rehabilitation, gynaecology and cancer care.

As an Advanced Physiotherapist, you'll manage a defined caseload of patients with complex needs. This post will be primarily based in our newly opened geriatric ward to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, and establish a strong physiotherapy service to provide excellent, patient-centred care. The ideal candidate will also be expected to work autonomously in all acute subspecialties to flexibly cover caseloads as required. This includes cardiothoracics and ITU. Participation in the on-call and weekend rotas is essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Physiotherapist to join us and be a part of a sociable, excellence-minded team. The successful candidate will need to be proactive and promote Physiotherapy amongst stakeholders. The role also involves supervising junior staff and students, contributing to the development of the team, and developing a service on a new ward.

At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.

What you'll bring:

  • HCPC Registration
  • Physiotherapy degree qualification
  • Extensive experience and competence within acute physiotherapy subspecialties, primarily in general medicine
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong evidence of previous service development and implementation (desirable)
  • Experience teaching including across disciplines (desirable)
