Job summary

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiology Lead (Band 8a) to provide professional, clinical and operational leadership across the Cardiac Physiology Service within the Clinical Measurement Unit.

The post holder will balance senior leadership with an active clinical role, guiding safe, high-quality diagnostic services and developing the workforce and pathways in collaboration with respiratory clinicians and system partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of cardiac diagnostics, echocardiography, stress echo, LVO/bubble studies, ECG and Ambulatory ECG, stress ECG and analysis.
• Provide expert clinical advice and ensure abnormal findings are escalated.
• Oversee workforce development, competency and professional development, and service improvement.
