Job summary

Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital is seeking a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist to join the Cardiac Unit. The role involves performing a broad range of cardiac diagnostic tests and procedures, interpreting results, and delivering clinically relevant reports to support medical decisions.

You will lead cardiac device follow-up clinics, monitor and optimise device function, and contribute to audits and governance. A strong emphasis on clinical leadership and mentoring is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and collaboration with MDT.
• Registration with RCCP/AHCS and device accreditation.
• Experience at a highly specialist level after devices accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the cath lab as part of the MDT.
• Monitor ECG and pressure tracings; report abnormalities promptly.
• Lead cardiac device follow-up clinics and optimise programming and battery life.
• Ensure availability of cardiac device stock for procedures.
• Conduct non-invasive tests (ECG, Ambulatory ECG, Ambulatory BP, Exercise Tolerance Tests) per guidelines.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain quality systems and participate in audits and governance.
• Contribute to policy development and departmental workload delivery.

BHRS/IBHRE Devices Accreditation

Two years' experience at highly specialist level post devices accreditation
