Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust in England is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Coronary Care Unit at West Cumberland Hospital on a fixed-term contract for 5 months. 36 hours per week with shifts aligned to unit needs.

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with current NMC registration, trained in cardiology care, and able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. A supportive preceptorship is available for newly registered professionals.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse, adult with active NMC registration or working towards.
• NIV experience is desirable.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to participate in preceptorship for new registrants.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care in the coronary unit.
• Support patients and families through diagnosis and treatment.
• Liaise with WCH and CIC to ensure safe patient transfers.
• Preceptorship provided for new registrants and returning staff.
