Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse for 37.5 hours on Ward 5 at West Cumberland Hospital. You will join a 28-bed medical ward caring for acute and chronic conditions with a supportive team and strong emphasis on compassionate care.

The role offers a twelve-month preceptorship for new registrants and development opportunities while you work to deliver high standards of patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC registration or working towards.
• Experience in NHS or equivalent settings is desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care, providing the prescribed nursing care without supervision.
• Support patients and their families during diagnosis and treatment.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure safe transfer of patients.
• The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.
• Return to practice pathways may be supported.
