Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated registered Nurse to join our team on the Ward 5 medical unit in Whitehaven. This fixed-term post covers maternity leave for 9 months and requires you to work 24 hours per week.

We are a 28-bed ward caring for patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions. The Trust provides a twelve month preceptorship for all newly registered nurses to support development and confidence in practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care, providing the prescribed nursing care without supervision.
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing practice in the unit.
• Support Patients, and their families, during their diagnosis and treatment
• Liaise with other departments both at WCH and CIC to ensure the safe transfer of the Patients.
