Job summary

Drive Motor Retail in Darlington is seeking a Sales Executive to guide customers from first contact to handover, in-store and online. You will present suitable new and used vehicles, arrange test drives, and deliver a personal, professional buying experience.

In this role you will build lasting relationships, advise on finance options, and work toward individual and team targets while maintaining accurate records and FCA compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in vehicle sales or a customer-facing retail role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, target-driven attitude.
• Confidence in using CRM systems and basic office tools.
• Passion for delivering outstanding service.
• Full UK driving licence – Held for a minimum of 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers in showroom, online, and over the phone.
• Understand customer needs and present suitable new and used vehicle options.
• Arrange and accompany customers on test drives.
• Build trust through honest product knowledge and finance advice.
• Prepare quotes, complete paperwork, and ensure FCA compliance.
• Work toward individual and team targets.
• Deliver outstanding customer service from enquiry to aftersales follow-up.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and customer notes.
• Support vehicle handovers, helping ensure a smooth and exciting experience for the customer.
