Job summary

ISS is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to support complex facilities management projects in the UK. You will collaborate with project managers, suppliers and stakeholders to drive value for money and maintain robust cost control and contractual compliance.

You will develop scopes, perform take-offs, prepare estimates and tender packs, and evaluate tenders to guide delivery. Strong NEC contract knowledge and experience with CEMAR are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in quantity surveying, cost management and commercial reporting across projects.
• Ability to take-off quantities, measure drawings and prepare cost estimates from specs.
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 contracts knowledge including Compensation Events and change control.
• Experience evaluating tenders, subcontracts and supplier proposals.
• Excellent cost control, forecasting and profitability management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review project scopes of work with Project Managers and stakeholders.
• Undertake quantity take-offs and measurements to support estimating and cost planning.
• Prepare cost estimates, pricing models, and tender documentation per NEC requirements.
• Evaluate returned tenders and provide commercial recommendations for supplier selection.
• Maintain project cost control, forecasting, valuations, reporting and profitability.
• Administer Compensation Events and change control through CEMAR or similar systems.
• Review and approve supplier invoices, variations and final accounts for compliance.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and cost-saving measures during delivery.
