Job summary

Omexom UK is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team supporting projects and tenders across the UK. You will interface with Operations, Finance and Engineering to deliver value and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a third level QS qualification with post-qualification experience, strong IT skills, and experience with NEC Option A/C contracts. Travel across the UK is expected to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Third level QS qualification with 2+ years post-qualification experience.
• Strong IT skills with experience using QS software.
• Experience negotiating and interpreting contract conditions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel across the UK.
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pricing and cost plans for projects.
• Contract management of NEC Option A and C.
• Procurement of subcontractors and related documents.
• Prepare initial budgets and monitor them through the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and agree variations with clients.
• Prepare cost/value reconciliations and final accounts.
• Maintain cost reporting systems and forecasts.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and site teams.
• Assist in tendering and bid support.
• Ensure accurate measurement of works completed.
