Job summary

Russell Taylor Group in Ellesmere Port is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major CAPEX construction and energy upgrade programs. You will oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams, manage EPC delivery, and drive safety, cost and schedule performance across complex projects.

You will report to UK CAPEX Delivery Head, coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction stakeholders, secure permits and interfaces, and champion HSSE and continuous improvement in a high-hazard

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering major CAPEX projects in high-hazard environments.
• Engineering/Construction/Project Management degree; chartered status advantageous.
• Proven track record managing brownfield, infrastructure and construction on operational sites.
• Strong project controls knowledge: cost forecasting, scheduling, risk and change control.
• Leadership experience managing EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness; experience managing contractors and suppliers.
• Delivery-focused, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Highest HSSE and process safety standards; able to challenge unsafe behaviours.
• Collaborative mindset with commitment to continuous improvement and project excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAPEX projects and work packages from scope definition through construction, completion and handover.
• Manage engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities to achieve safe outcomes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders for effective execution.
• Drive safety, schedule, cost, quality and delivery readiness to meet objectives.
• Secure permits, materials, access, and stakeholder approvals for project fronts.
• Manage project interfaces across assets, engineering teams, contractors and programmes.
• Own project controls including scope, schedule, cost, risk and change management.
• Provide visible leadership in office and on-site environments, promoting safety and accountability.
• Ensure HSSE and governance compliance; support future CAPEX projects.
