Job summary

Russell Taylor Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Environmental Specialist to lead environmental deliverables for a portfolio of major UK infrastructure projects. Based in Ellesmere Port, you will work with the Environmental Lead to navigate planning, permitting and regulatory challenges.

You will coordinate consultants, guide EIA and permit processes, ensure compliance and contribute to the low‑carbon transition across the project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered status with ISEP or CIEEM, or plan to achieve within 18 months.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental planning, permitting and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with EIA, environmental permitting and managing planning commitments.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating environmental deliverables across multiple developments.
• Managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and environmental permitting applications.
• Providing expert advice on UK environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Engaging with regulators, communities, project teams and consultants to support approvals.
• Ensuring environmental compliance, reporting and audit readiness.
