Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Project Improvement Manager - Cancer Diagnostics (Band 7) to lead transformation programmes across endoscopy and pathology, ensuring faster access to cancer diagnostics and better patient outcomes. The role is based at County Hall, Leicester, with hybrid working and regular regional travel.

You will work with clinical leaders and provider trusts to redesign diagnostic pathways, deliver improvements, and monitor performance data to drive

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in improvement.
• Experience supporting or leading healthcare improvement or transformation projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience interpreting performance data and using it to support improvement.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• The confidence to work independently while building productive relationships across the NHS.
• A collaborative and proactive approach to improving patient care.
