Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Data and Analytical Lead to shape the analytical function for cancer intelligence across the East Midlands. The role focuses on delivering high-quality analytics, dashboards and reporting to support faster treatment and better patient outcomes.

You will lead cross‑organ analytical work, manage complex performance data, and influence senior stakeholders across NHS providers and Integrated Care Boards.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Statistics, Informatics or Analytics.
• Significant NHS or complex organisation analytics experience.
• Expertise in SQL and Python or R.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of EMCA's regional cancer performance reporting.
• Design innovative dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
• Provide strategic analytical leadership across EMCA programmes.
• Deliver detailed pathway analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for major transformation programmes.
• Support Executive, Board and Clinical Delivery Group reporting.
• Drive innovation through automation, advanced analytics and BI.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, governance and information management.
