Job summary

eTeam in Knutsford is seeking a hands-on Senior Java Developer to design and implement Lending Origination workflows using Camunda 8. You will build Java-based job workers, develop React UIs for user task interactions, and integrate back-end services with SQL databases in a banking-oriented IT project.

You will participate in SCRUM ceremonies, maintain code with automated tests, and support production in 3rd line. This onsite role is 2–3 days per week and runs through May 31, 2027.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Camunda 8 and Java-based backend development.
• Proficient in Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, testing with JUnit, RestAssured and Mockito.
• Database experience with SQL (MS SQL preferred) and cloud/OpenShift environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop Lending Origination workflows using Camunda 8 for process orchestration.
• Implement service-task-driven integrations using Java-based job workers.
• Build and integrate React-based user interfaces for user task interactions.
• Develop supporting services using Java and SQL-based back-end systems.
• Participate in SCRUM ceremonies and update JIRA promptly.
• Write clean, scalable, testable code aligned with business requirements.
• Ensure features/stories delivered with high automated test coverage.
• Provide 3rd line support for production environments.

Location: Knutsford/ 2-3 days a week onsite

• Back-end technology Strong programming experience with Java, SpringBoot, JPA, Hibernate, Junit, RestAssured and Mockito
• Database Experience with SQL (MS SQL preferred)
• Cloud technology – Experience with aPaaS Openshift V4
• DevOps tools – Experience with GitLab, Stash, Jenkins, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, SonarQube and Veracode
• Build tools – Experience with Maven, Gradle and NPM
• Strong skills in Test driven development, CICD, and microservices
• Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science, Object Oriented Design and Data Structures
• Experience of working in an IT project environment preferably in banking or financial sector
• Experience working in an AGILE
• Experience with message queue like Apache Kafka, IBM MQ etc
