Job summary

Broadland High Ormiston Academy, part of Ormiston Academies Trust, is looking for a practical Site Maintenance Assistant. You will carry out repairs and minor maintenance, keep grounds tidy, support fire evacuations and compliance checks, monitor contractors, and help manage lettings.

You will need a full UK driving licence, and a willingness to learn safety and COSHH. This role offers a supportive, community-focused environment with opportunities for professional development, flexible working

Qualifications

• Practical and hands-on with general maintenance knowledge.
• Awareness of health and safety, COSHH, or willingness to learn.
• Reliable and flexible, able to work in a team or alone.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and minor maintenance on buildings.
• Keep grounds and social spaces tidy.
• Support site compliance checks and fire evacuations.
• Monitor the work of contractors.
• Support out-of-hours lettings and welcome visitors.
• Ensure premises are secure at the end of each session.
• Snow clearance and gritting in winter months.
