Job summary

Ormiston Academies Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a Site Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for pupils. You will work with the Site Manager and Caretaker to keep buildings ready, secure and well maintained.

The role covers repairs, grounds maintenance, fire evacuations, contractor oversight and occasional out-of-hours lettings, with opportunities to support community groups.

Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on maintenance knowledge.
• Awareness of health and safety practices.
• Full, valid UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings, grounds and social spaces to ensure safety and accessibility.
• Carry out repairs, minor maintenance and monitor contractors.
• Support out-of-hours lettings and ensure premises are secure after sessions.
• Assist with fire evacuations and site compliance checks.
