Job summary

Ormiston Forge Academy is seeking a Site Assistant to support the day-to-day maintenance, security and smooth running of the academy site. You will help ensure the buildings and grounds are safe, clean and well maintained, responding to site issues and carrying out caretaking duties.

We are looking for someone reliable and practical, with experience in caretaking or site support, flexible and proactive, and confident with ICT for record-keeping and communication.

Qualifications

• Reliable, trustworthy and able to work on their own initiative.
• Practical and hands-on with caretaking, site support or maintenance experience.
• Flexible and proactive, willing to respond to varied challenges.
• Confident with ICT for record-keeping and communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well with colleagues and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day maintenance, security and smooth running of the academy site.
• Help ensure buildings and grounds are safe, clean and well maintained.
• Respond to site issues and carry out general caretaking duties as required.
• Work with the Site Manager and wider academy team to create a welcoming, safe environment for students, staff and visitors.
