Job summary

Leeds Beckett University is seeking a Programme Co-ordinator to lead the Junior Swim Programme at Headingley Campus and expand community participation and memberships. You will work with the Beckett Sport team and Academy colleagues to deliver a joined-up experience for participants and families.

The role focuses on planning, promoting and delivering inclusive, safe activities while developing partnerships with schools and clubs. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• Coaching/instruction qualification in a relevant programme.
• Experience running community-led programmes in sport/leisure or community development.
• Practical knowledge of health and safety, safeguarding and data protection in a busy sports environment.
• Strong communication, empathy with customers and colleagues, initiative to try new approaches.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when programmes run.

Responsibilities

• Plan, promote and deliver the Junior Swim Programme, membership schemes and community activity with safety and customer experience at the front.
• Recruit, induct and support coaches, casual staff, volunteers and student employees, building a positive team.
• Run enrolment, progression, waiting lists, membership records, risk assessments and reporting.
• Use data on participation, retention and feedback to improve offerings and report on performance.
• Build partnerships with local schools, clubs and community organisations creating volunteering and leadership pathways.
• Collaborate with Beckett Sport colleagues on holiday camps and multi-sport events.
