Job summary

Leeds Beckett University is seeking a Performance Services Manager to head up strength and conditioning, performance support services and coaching across its performance sport programmes.

You will lead a team including a Performance Sport Co-ordinator and Physiotherapist, manage external partnerships, and collaborate with academic colleagues to enhance student employability. The role is based at Headingley Campus, with a commitment to flexible scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• UKSCA accreditation, with experience of leading a comprehensive performance sport and S&C programme.
• Track record of planning, delivering and monitoring S&C for high‑performance athletes as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Strong communication and influencing skills to build relationships with managers, coaches and partners.
• Good organisation and project management skills, service‑focused approach and commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop S&C and support services with high‑quality individual and group programmes.
• Work with sports medicine to manage, treat and prevent injuries.
• Manage external partnerships (TASS, UKAD Clean Sport, NGBs, clubs) and represent Beckett Sport.
• Build links with academics to create placements, mentoring and vocational learning.
• Plan and manage budgets, review services and deputise for the Head of Beckett Sport.
