Job summary

The Grammar School At Leeds (GSAL) is seeking a site services operative to join our 140-acre Alwoodley campus. The role provides a visible security-conscious presence, supporting lettings, visitors, events and sports fixtures, and helps maintain safe, well-presented facilities.

This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of £26,165 per annum with 37.5 hours per week across 5 days including weekends and a shift pattern; start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Strong awareness of security and safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically able to carry out patrols and manual tasks.
• Basic IT skills for reporting and helpdesk requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, professional presence across the school site.
• Support lettings users, visitors, events, sports fixtures and community activities.
• Ensure facilities, rooms, pitches and external areas are prepared and fit for purpose.
• Respond to operational and helpdesk requests.
• Support car park and pedestrian management.
• Carry out site inspections and patrols to identify safety, security or maintenance concerns.
• Work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
