Job summary

UPP Residential Services Limited is seeking a Multi Skilled Technician (Electrical) to join the team at Leeds University. This full-time role focuses on both planned and responsive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems within student residences.

You will be a fully qualified electrician with relevant City & Guilds and 18th Edition qualifications, and you will participate in an on-call rota outside standard hours. A current manual UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified electrician with City & Guilds credentials.
• Awareness of health and safety practices on site.
• Experience in residential or campus maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance within residences in a safe working environment and report hazards.
• Carry out reactive maintenance and front-line fabric repairs per SLA.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and liaise with sub-contractors.
• Maintain records of breakdowns, repairs and statutory compliance.
• Carry out statutory testing including PAT and fire alarm testing.
• Lead electrical stock management and support cross-trade teams.
