Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in Bristol and surrounding areas from September. You will work with students who need help with behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation, both individually and in small groups, to help them access learning and stay on task.

This role suits those with experience in education, youth work or related fields who are calm, patient and proactive in building trusting relationships with students and staff, while following

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people, ideally within education, youth work, care, mentoring or behaviour support.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to complete registration, compliance and safeguarding checks

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation.
• One-to-one and small group work to help pupils access learning and stay focused.
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and resilience; support classroom teachers with behaviour strategies.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff; respond calmly to challenging behaviour.
