Job summary

Principal Education is seeking a confident SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in an East London school. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping students engage, progress and thrive in the classroom.

You will work closely with teachers, implement behaviour strategies, support lesson planning, and foster emotional regulation and resilience. A valid enhanced DBS and two professional references are required to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with pupils with SEN, including autism and complex needs.
• Patience, empathy and proactive support for diverse needs.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care when required.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and employ restorative approaches.

We re seeking a confident, compassionate SEN TA / SEN Support Worker to join a dynamic East London school. You ll work closely with students with special educational needs (SEN), providing tailored one-to-one and small-group support to help them engage, progress, and thrive in the classroom.
