Job summary

Otis is seeking an experienced escalator call-out and repair engineer to support the London Underground including the TfL portfolio. Your focus is safety and reliable escalator operation, with daily on-site work across the London network.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering and extensive hands-on maintenance experience, plus a valid UK driving license. Expect 4 on 4 off 12-hour shifts and a comprehensive benefits package.

Title: Service Call out Engineer - Escalators

Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced escalator call out and repair engineer to join our Transport for London team, covering our London Underground escalator portfolio. Your priority is to ensure the safety of passengers and technical stakeholders by safely maintaining a portfolio of escalator units.

On a typical day you will:

• Carry out breakdown and repair work on all escalators within the portfolio to achieve continual operation
• Work within London Underground network, managing the portfolio of escalator's within it
• Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix
• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship

What you will need to be successful

• You will be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering with significant experience in service and maintenance of escalators
• You must be an experienced escalator engineer with in-depth knowledge of a variety of different brands of equipment
• Hold a valid UK drivers license
• Flexibility is important and overtime maybe required
• You have good skills in mechanical and electrical engineering
• You are a committed professional, with safety as your priority
• You are comfortable communicating to others
• You are curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team
• You are comfortable using electronic and digital tools
