Job summary

Tesco UK cafe team is looking for a Team Member who helps with cooking, serving customers and keeping areas clean while meeting safety standards. You’ll be part of everything and contribute to keeping our cafe menu fresh and welcoming.

You’ll work in a fast‑paced environment with flexible hours and opportunities for progression. You must be 18 or over and ready to deliver great service to every customer.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations and maintain daily records.
• Rotate stock using FIFO to keep food fresh.
• Accept deliveries and store food safely.
• Follow operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook and serve food as per menu.
• Ensure food products are available and cafe standards are met.
• Know the cafe menu inside out and serve as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and inform the Café Manager.
• Stay updated with business communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitise tables to keep the cafe clean.
