Job summary

Tesco Cafés are a great place to work. As a Team Member in our café, you’ll handle cooking, serving, and customer interactions while upholding safety standards. You’ll help keep equipment and tables clean and ensure every dish aligns with our menu and safety rules.

We offer flexible hours, progression opportunities, and at least 8 guaranteed hours per week. You must be 18 or over to apply, with duties including cleaning, serving customers, and stock checks.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our café’s delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our café’s menu inside and out and serving food exactly as it’s intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Café Manager.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Clearing and sanitising tables so our café stays clean.
