Job summary

Tesco UK Cafe is seeking a friendly Team Member to join our busy cafés. You’ll help prepare and serve food, keep the kitchen and dining areas clean, and ensure safety standards are met while delivering great customer service.

Flexibility is valued and there are opportunities for progression across Tesco cafes. As a Team Member, you’ll be part of a supportive team with a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours per week and flexible working patterns.

Qualifications

• A commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• The ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our café’s delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our café’s menu inside and out and serving food exactly as it’s intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Café Manager.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Clearing and sanitising tables so our café stays clean.
